My creativity is expressed through photography and also design. I enjoy taking photos of landscapes and nature. It’s such a treasure to capture a moment in history that will never look the same again.
I have been on a photography adventure for almost two decades, capturing moments that range from the serene beauty of nature and landscapes to the dynamic energy of travelling photography. These all range from portraits of individuals to product shoots for small businesses; my lens has seen it all.
I have worked at non-profits and socially responsible companies where I loved to capture those moments that showcase the hard work and committed dedication these outstanding individuals and teams have to make a difference in the world. I enjoy amplifying their voices through imagery. This must be my favourite type of photography.
When I’m not editing or designing, I love to be outside, especially when there is a mountain to climb while figuring out how to pack my camera and that extra lens.
Burst Forth started while I was at University in 2005 (ish) when my incredibly talented older brother would hand me his camera and challenge me to take photos of him and my family while they played golf. The only rule was, don’t stay in the Program mode! And that was truly the start of my love of capturing beautiful moments.
Since then I have taken some official courses (not the golf course kind) in photography and have wandered into various niches in photography which keeps this field so versatile and interesting.
I also love the aspect of teaching these skills to individuals and groups who want to know how to take captivating photos, so Burst Forth’s first manual was born and I travelled to a few places to teach the basics of photography.
